Insurance

Health insurance plans can vary widely. In general, most plans do cover mental and behavioral health services. Some plans dictate who you see for help and will only provide you coverage if you see an in-network provider. Many areas of the United States are facing shortages of providers. You may also not feel comfortable with an in-network provider. Depending on your plan you may also have a co-pay or deductible and there are limits on what type of services are covered. For example, most companies do not cover Marriage counseling.

My practice is out-of-network with all health insurance plans. Many individuals, however, do have health plans that will reimburse a portion of the costs for out-of-network providers. I can provide you with a superbill for you to provide to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. It is your responsibility to inquire about your insurance. Your health insurance or employee benefit plan may cover full or partial services. You are responsible for contacting your insurance company to inquire about your benefits if any.
