Bill Moran Catholic Therapist and Counseling los angeles ventura William (Bill) Moran is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Bill grew up in a culturally diverse Queens, New York, in a devout Irish/Italian-Catholic family. As many teenagers tend to do, he walked away from his faith and led a secular life into his late 20s.

Bill started his career as an electrical contractor when he was only 19 years old and worked for 10 years in that field. With an innate passion for working with people, he decided to pursue a different career path and obtained his real estate license in 1984. He had a successful career in real estate sales and mortgage banking that lasted for over 30 years. However, he felt like something was missing and began exploring various Christian denominations and Eastern faith traditions. Eventually, he rediscovered his Catholic faith and founded WhyCatholic.com, a free resource that dispels many myths about the Catholic faith.

Over the years, he has worked with people and families from broad socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. He has employed hundreds of people and has helped countless families and individuals achieve their financial goals.

His innate passion for helping others and having been raised with an emotionally absent father led Bill to spend 20 years serving on the board of directors for the Catholic Big Brother Big Sister program in Los Angeles, which helps fatherless boys and girls through mentorships. He helped raise three step-children and has helped hundreds of others develop their professional careers and improve their personal lives.san fernando valley catholic therapy

Through his constant search for bettering himself and others, he developed a keen interest in psychology, theology, and philosophy, which led him to ultimately obtain his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in psychology with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy.

After graduation, he served as a primary therapist at prominent recovery and intensive outpatient programs located in Malibu and Woodland Hills, respectively. Using his personal experiences and overcoming his challenges, Bill has developed a unique ability to empathize with others and help them set their own goals and overcome life's challenges.

Bills’ professional approach combines practical, real-life solutions with modern psychological evidence-based theories and spiritual awareness to help individuals develop their fuller selves.
