Ever since the announcement of his candidacy for 2016 Presidential election, Donald Trump has faced accusations of being a racist. To be fair most people who claim someone is a racist do not understand what the word racist means.
Dictionary.com defines the word Racist as: racism,
Long before Trump sought election to the highest office in the land however, Donald Trump faced racism head on. After purchasing the infamous Mar-a Largo estate in swanky-upscale Palm Beach Florida Trump met with fierce opposition to his acquisition in the old upper-crust neighborhood. Neighbors and members of other clubs that practiced actual racism did not like the fact Trump would allow Jewish and African Americans to become members in his club. So what did Trump the man many have claimed to be a racist do?
He sent all of the town council members a copy of the movie “Guess Who is Coming to Dinner”. The movie for those who have never seen it stars Spencer Tracy, Katharine Hepburn, and Sidney Poitier. The Oscar-winning story revolved around a liberal, upper-class older couple who are stunned and discomfited when their daughter, played by Katharine Houghton, brings her new fiancé — Poitier — home to dinner and an introduction to her white parents. As liberals, her parents were staunch supporters of racial equality and had raised their daughter accordingly. Yet suddenly, in comes the very personal reality of equality when their daughter waltzes in the door after a vacation with husband-to-be Poitier, a black widower and doctor. Soul searching about just how devoted to equality they really are ensues.
He also had his lawyers file a $100 Million Dollar lawsuit… In other words he was a bully. and as you might have guessed he Won. Today Mar-a-Largo is a premier resort club and while you do need to be pretty wealthy to afford membership you are not asked what your ethnicity is
